Notes from MIZ KΔ KAPPA DELTA | UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI | WINTER 2023 H omecoming is always an anticipated and cherished weekend at Epsilon Iota, but our celebration this year evoked even greater joy and excitement for our beloved Kappa Delta Chapter. We celebrated two major milestones for our chapter the weekend of October 22. We not only joined with our ΚΔ sisters across the country in honoring our 125th anniversary, but we also launched our capital campaign to renovate the chapter house in full force. The weekend's festivities included an open house on Friday night during house decorations, a wonderful tailgate on Tiger Avenue before the game, and then coffee and donuts Sunday morning. The Stuckel family once again planned a fantastic tailgate for us on Tiger Avenue featuring delicious food and drinks and, of course, showcasing Stan's chocolate cake. Kappa Delta is so fortunate to have their tailgate expertise, and I am incredibly grateful for their hard work. The turnout for the tailgate was terrific, and I was so happy to see alumnae from our charter class all the way to our newest alumnae who graduated in 2022. Sisters were excited to see one another, ask questions about our upcoming renovation, and add their names to our growing list of donors. I know that this enthusiasm will continue to spread and ensure that we reach and surpass our goal of $1 million. I am so excited for the future of Kappa Delta. We have always been a competitive group for Homecoming and Greek Week festivities, and I am hopeful that this same competitive spirit will inspire sisters to support our fundraising for this critical facility update. We have added pledge class competitions to get you in the spirit! I would love to see my own pledge sisters from '93 take first place, but I look forward to the Epsilon Iota love of friendly competition to keep it interesting! I hope to see you all at Homecoming in 2023.
