BOX 442100 LAWRENCE, KS 66044-2100 Address Service Requested Chapter Officers E very new school year has one thing in common—the recruitment of new members! This year looked different, however; with the elimination of summer recruitment, the pressure was on Luke Deschenes '24 and the recruitment team to make the most out of formal recruitment. Through their leadership, we were able to recruit the following 31 new members. Luke shared formal recruitment was "very successful and ran smoothly again this year. From sophomores to seniors, everyone contributed and helped us recruit a new member class that will improve and lead the Chapter in the future." Thirteen brothers also donated their time to be recruitment counselors and IFC members, doing their part to making formal recruitment possible. Sam Stewart '24 described being a counselor as "a fulfilling experience to be able to give back to the Greek community and help potential new members find the Chapter that fit them best." T he Tragos Quest to Greece has been a staple of Sigma Phi Epsilon for years. An all-expenses-paid trip to Greece is a once-in-a- lifetime opportunity, and Colin Anderson '23 was fortunate to take the trip last summer. "When else would I get the chance to go to Greece with SigEps from around the nation?" said Colin of his decision to apply. At the time, he applied with no real thought of winning; even when the announcement was coming, he couldn't believe it was happening, "When I figured out what was going on, it all hit me, my heart was racing, and I was over the moon. I called my parents right after and showed them the backpack with the Tragos label—they were so happy for me," Colin said. "Obviously, going to a different country in general was amazing," Colin shared about the special opportunity. "Seeing the different sights and learning the culture was great. But the nightly talks, many meaningful conversations, and getting to know each other on a deeper level created a bond between the entire group that made the trip so special." After this special trip, Colin has made it a point to encourage other Washington Alpha members to apply for themselves. Sharing his experience with many younger members and bringing knowledge back has helped grow the Chapter as a whole. Cameron Anderson Shoreline, Wash. Justin Billingsley Palisades, Wash.
