Gamma Gamma currently has 51 active members with 35 residing in the house and represents almost every major at Rose. We graduated 20 brothers in May 2022. We have a particularly strong sophomore class. We came in third of eight fraternities in GPA in the 2021-2022 academic year with a 3.21 and above the all-male average of 3.19. Kudos to Brother Zach Junker for his leadership of our scholarship program which is clearly paying dividends. Under the strong leadership of Rush Chairman Zach Leedy, we signed 20 excellent new pledges this fall with one of our most geographically di- verse classes in years (only 3 from Indiana). We are ecstatic about this pledge class as they have been self-motivated to get themselves involved on campus. They participate in sports, academic groups, and other extra curriculars. Our newly renovated facility continues to help attract fine young men and we are working very hard to ensure the tightly knit brotherhood and leadership experi- ences retain them. The group began pledgeship on November 1 st . One of our major challenges has been to make major revisions to our Pledge Education program in response to universally mandated changes from the ATΩ National. While pledgeship will certainly be different than what many reading this experi- enced, we are designing it to ensure the class bonds strongly with one another as well as the active chapter. A new mentorship program is part of the design, and we believe that will not only help with retention but help create even closer bonds with upperclassmen. As times change, Gamma Gamma must also adapt to remain relevant and accepted by our governing institutions and changing external environment. I am personally convinced that the effort that has gone into redesigning our pledge program will continue to reinforce the values and culture that have long been a hallmark of our chap- ter and one of the key things that attracted me to ATΩ. Gamma Gamma continues to positively impact our community. This October the chapter, with the support of alumni, raised $5,384 for Riley Chil- dren's hospital during our annual gaming mara- thon. Similar to the structure of a dance marathon, brothers streamed their games online for as long as they could for up to 24 hours to raise money via donations from viewers. In the spirit of the renovations and following the example of our graduated brothers, actives have taken on small projects throughout the year to continue honoring the history of Gamma Gamma. One of these included a relighting of the ATΩ stained glass light box in the formal room, and currently under way is the scanning of old physical composites to be built into a slide show displayed on new 50" monitors in the foyer. With severe restrictions of the COVID-19 pandem- ic generally in the past, Gamma Gamma is seeing a full return to normalcy and shifting energy to focus on new challenges. We are working closely with the Board of Trustees to improve our managing processes in a number of operating areas which we believe will not only make it easier to operate the chapter in the future but will also enhance the over- all experience and stature of our organization. Circumstances and culture will always be chang- ing, but the Rose-Hulman chapter of Alpha Tau Omega will continue to be an organization dedicat- ed to binding men together, training leaders, and the elevation of man.
