TAU TALK ALPHA TAU OMEGA AT IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY F or the first time in over three years, I was able to return to the chapter house at 2122 Lincoln Way. Visiting is always a special reminder of all the things I've learned from Gamma Upsilon and a glimpse of what the current undergraduate members have in front of them. Proudly displayed in our trophy case was the seventh consecutive True Merit Bowl awarded to the chapter at Congress this year. Congratulations to all who made this possible, including Worthy Master William Hansen '20 and Worthy Marshal Matthew Pawl '20, our chapter leaders. My group of alumni visitors and spouses received a tour of the chapter house from reigning Pledge of the Year Jordan Seifriz '21. We enjoyed some breakfast items prepared by the chapter's chef and had some fun exchanges in the back parking lot with some of the current undergraduate members. Either the term "alumni" brings up a certain idea for how old we are or we just look older than we think, but we promptly had the '80s hair-metal music being played changed up to hits of the late 2000s! There's also never a shortage of hospitality from Mr. Kelly—a sincere thank- you to all the coordination and assistance he helps with in all the chapter events. Please mark your calendars for our 115th celebration during next year's Homecoming. Few chapters reach the mark of 115 continuous years of operation, so this is a milestone to celebrate!
