2 and another quarter achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher. Kansas Beta's GPA earned second place out of 22 fraternities at K-State. Additionally, our GPA was much higher than the all-fraternity average of 3.31 and the all-university men's average of 3.14. I am extremely proud of the work our men have put into succeeding academically. Intramural Competitiveness This past spring, Kansas Beta finished second overall in intramurals among all 22 fraternities on campus. Our slow-pitch softball team established itself as one of the top fraternity teams at K-State by placing second. Our men are determined to be named intramural champions for the 2022-23 school year. Philanthropic Pride At Kansas Beta, our philanthropic endeavors are taken very seriously. Our brothers are proud of raising nearly $8,000 for Children's Miracle Network. This past spring, we hosted the third annual weeklong Paddy Murphy Philanthropy, comprised of a variety of competitions raising over $4,500, and a Floats and Goats event, where we partnered with FarmHouse to raise over $2,500. Our members are excited to continue our philanthropic success and are always striving to improve. Other News Our north second- and third-floor bathroom renovations were completed this past summer, and the brothers are very thankful to the alumni for the updates! Brother Juan Gomez '24 is serving as a senator in the College of Engineering on Student Governing Association. Parker Larson '23 and Blake Steele '23 were a part of the successful Parker Vulgamore campaign for Kansas State student body president. A Bright Future Kansas Beta continues to exemplify what it means to be a successful fraternity. Our recent history of high-achieving awards proves our dedication to Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Kansas State, and the surrounding community. As successful as the men have been, we are always striving to improve. Everything we do is made possible through alumni support. We are very grateful for your contributions and hope you share in our successes and achievements. Your impact has allowed us to be able to develop members into True Gentlemen. If you find yourself in the Manhattan area, we would love for you to swing by the chapter house to visit.
