ACADEMIC SUCCESS For the spring 2022 semester and the eighth semester in a row, Psi had the top grades on campus with an outstanding 3.83 GPA. This ranks higher than all Panhellenic chapters and Greek organizations. We also had members on the President's and Dean's lists. We were able to celebrate our chapter's academic success together with a pool day on Lake Tuscaloosa. For the 2022-23 year, four members were awarded scholarships from the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation: Izzy Michaud '19, Reina Parker '19, Ellie Adams '19, and Maria Mirzai-Tehrani '20. WELCOMING HOME SISTERS Returning to Tuscaloosa for the fall 2022 semester, we were welcomed to a new, beautifully decorated dining room. Following an awesome recruitment, we welcomed 135 new members this fall semester. They have been busy adjusting to college life in every way, getting off to an awesome start at their new member retreat at Hotel Indigo and Lake Tuscaloosa. A week later they took a trip to Six Flags with their Care for the Flock groups. They have already become plugged in across campus in many different academic, service, and campus organizations. Their GPA coming to The University of Alabama is a 4.12. From résumé workshops to interview prep and hands-on service through Meals on Wheels, I am excited to see all the ways that they become engaged on campus. EXTRACURRICULARS Our members continue to lead and serve the campus community and beyond. We are so proud of Hannah Hale '19 for her leadership as Panhellenic president the last year and through recruitment. We had 22 members serve on Panhellenic recruitment team. At the time of this writing, Homecoming plans are underway with Aliee Reed '20 leading Psi Chapter. Emma Grace Trammell '20 and Izzy Michaud '19 are both serving on the UA Homecoming Board. Izzy Boyd '19 serves as vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion for SGA. We also have two senators: Sarah Kate Smalley '21 representing the Capstone College of Nursing and Emma Fraley '21 representing the College of Human Environmental Sciences. ROLL TIDE! Members continue to get involved and take the next step by taking on leadership positions in organizations across campus. Because of our chapter's commitment to academic success, involvement, and leadership, we were awarded the premier block in the student section, the best seats in Bryant-Denny Stadium. We are enjoying the full game day experience, and we would love for you to join us for upcoming game day meals if you purchase a wristband in advance. Please email operations. agdpsi@gmail.com if you would like to be added to the alumnae email list and receive information about upcoming meals. We are so proud of all the accomplishments of our chapter, individually and together, and we are thankful that we get to enjoy normal college life together again. Once again, the best continues to get better! Loyally, Ellie Adams '19 Chapter President Congratulations, Psi Chapter! Congratulations, Psi Chapter!
