6 Josh Anderson Lawrence, Kan. Major: Mechanical engineering and business administration "I accepted my bid because I saw my brother have such an incredible experience. He would always come home talking about how he made so many new friends. I want to be a part of something bigger than myself." Eli Bostwick Essex Junction, Vt. Major: Architectural engineering "I chose to accept my bid because I have only ever heard great things from my family members who went through the house. I have also heard about all the incredible opportunities the house offers." Zach Davidson Salina, Kan. Major: Finance "I was told Betas are really good athletics and academics—both of which are important to me." Asher Denk Kansas City, Mo. Major: Finance "I was looking for a house that was academic. In addition, I knew the recruitment chairmen were ensuring they had a diverse population in my pledge class, which was important to me." Cayo Dominguez-Heithoff Parkville, Mo. Major: Business analytics "I made my decision from simply going around the house and hearing about all the good academic opportunities. I know it will prepare me for life after college." Charlie Dunne Wichita, Kan. Major: Finance and business analytics "What really helped me make my decision was realizing this is not your stereotypical fraternity; it seems like something much more special where everyone strives for excellence and tries to become a better man." Will Eckels Kansas City, Mo. Major: Finance "It all boiled down to knowing that not only would academics be taken seriously, but it would also be somewhere that I can have fun and become closer with everyone. The people I met made Beta Theta Pi different than the other fraternities I considered." Andrew Erhart Minnetonka, Minn. Major: Business administration "My sister told me I must join this fraternity. I'm excited to be around a group of good, genuine people. I felt like I was at home when I saw the house." Wilson Evans Irvine, Calif. Major: General education "I have 11 relatives who have gone to Kansas, but none have been Betas. My sister recommended that I look at the house. I'm excited to be around a group of hardworking guys who can encourage me to always be a hard worker. I know that I can be successful being a part of this house." Brooks Fannin Austin, Texas Major: Finance "I came up for a weekend and spent some time with my recruitment chairmen. It was literally the best weekend of my life. I knew that's where I wanted to be." Brody Hansen Overland Park, Kan. Major: Mechanical engineering "Fitz Horn '25 recommended Beta to me. I decided to join because of the time I had when I went up. I liked how hard people worked as well the atmosphere." Gabe Haughton Highlands Ranch, Colo. Major: Finance "Once I got to the house, the guys were super welcoming, fun, and easy to get along with." Hamp Henning Prairie Village, Kan. Major: Chemical engineering "The main reason I started looking into the house was because of my dad and uncle. I went to a recruitment event and really fell in love with all the guys in the house. Another main selling point is the academics in the house. The more I met the guys, the more I was sold on the idea." Charlie Horn Overland Park, Kan. Major: Business administration "I accepted my bid because I went up to my first recruitment event and felt like it was the place for me. I had a choice between MU and KU but chose KU because of the house." Luke Karel Parker, Colo. Major: Business law "Justin Anderson (president of the Alpha Nu Parents Club) and my dad were in the same pledge class at KU. I went to formal recruitment and really liked it." Maverick Malcolm Centennial, Colo. Major: Aerospace engineering "I was just visiting campus and my friend texted me and said KU did recruitment early. I had always thought about joining a fraternity, so I got set up for recruitment. I just loved the house; I didn't even feel the need to talk to other fraternities." Andrew Merkley Omaha, Neb. Major: Mechanical engineering "I accepted my bid because when I walked in the house, I liked it and could see myself being there. I liked other houses, but I felt like everyone at Beta connected with each other." Luke Rothfuss Topeka, Kan. Major: Architectural engineering "I wasn't going to participate in recruitment at all, but I knew people from Topeka in the house. One thing led to another, and I decided to check it out; I fell in love with it." Welcome, Fall 2022 New Members
