He graduated KU with both his bachelor's and medical degrees by 1958, then served for four years in the Air Force before completing his residency as an OB-GYN. In his 30 years of practice, he would go on to deliver more then 7,500 babies. In 2004, Harold received the Physician Executive Award for Lifetime Achievement, sponsored by the American College of Physician Executives and Modern Physician. His accomplishments demonstrated visionary leadership and significant contribution to patient satisfaction and community service. In his retirement, Harold enjoyed going out to lunch with his former colleagues and sharing his beautiful flowers from his backyard. He took great pleasure in feeding his koi with his grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family and two dogs: Sophie and Izzy. He loved to watch basketball, especially when his alma mater were playing. He also loved astronomy and was an avid Sudoku and jigsaw puzzle player. Paul Wagner '61 entered the Mystic Shrine on June 1 after living with Parkinson's for many years. He carried a quiet, caring demeanor, a surprising sense of humor, and an adventurous spirit that he shared with his children Anne, Mary Beth, and Paul Jr., wife Sharon, and countless friends and colleagues. After graduating from the KU School of Pharmacy and working in Lincoln, Neb., Paul decided he would rather write prescriptions and pursued a career in oral surgery while living in Memphis. In 1975, the Wagners settled in Hays, with Paul establishing his own OMS practice and the family enjoying the outdoors. Retiring in 2005, Paul moved with Sharon to Arrowhead Mountain where they loved the clean air and active lifestyle. Ronald Hinkle '68 entered the Mystic Shrine on January 17. Upon graduating from KU, he married Mary Ann and moved to Topeka. He graduated from Washburn University Law School in 1966 and joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a special agent from 1966 to 1969. Ron and Mary moved to Olathe, Kan., to raise their children closer to their family, and he began a private law practice. Ron was active in his community and church and was passionate about education; he served on the Olathe School Board for 20 years. He loved his Beta brothers and fraternity and had many good memories.
