100 Centennial Campaign Our Plan A fter careful study, assessment, and planning, the Beta Upsilon Association engaged the services of McDougal Architects to assess the long-term needs of the Chapter House and Annex and to develop a plan to address those needs. In 2012, McDougal was responsible for the complete renovation of 122 Bay State Road. These renovations will maintain the integrity and intention of the initial architect but will reflect the changes that have occurred through the years in technology, expectations and growth and will provide a more competitive facility for attracting quality young men. In all areas, the architect has been instructed to address mandatory building and fire code requirements. Beta's absence has been noticeable, and its strong return with a first-class structure will position the Chapter as a top fraternity on campus. After much research, the board made the informed decision to split the project into two phases. By doing so, the board will be able to manage both the financial and logistical aspects wisely. Due to immediate needs of the facility, the board secured financing for the first phase of the project and began work June 2013. Our Chapter members will be welcomed back to a much-improved facility in the fall. The second phase of the project is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2014. Designated eating area for individuals to sit for breakfast, snacks, and late-night meals Commercial-grade kitchen with new equipment and additional pantry/storage spaces ADA-compliant bathroom Full-size laundry room Study lounge with a conference table and white boards Recreation room with a television and seating area for the active Brothers
