The homeowners requested a look that
would honor their 1890 home, but that would
be fresh and contemporary at the same time.
Specifically, they wanted to replace an existing
clawfoot tub with a comfortable walk-in shower
suitable for aging-in-place, and add storage.
Vintage and industrial styles come together in
this small bath project which features a walk-in
shower, extra storage and more. The crisp
pairing of black and white blends seamlessly
with the period style of the home. A favorite
feature is the tiled floor border design with
three medallions, which makes a great visual
accent to this room, as does the vanity and
mirror configuration.

This master bathroom remodel was part of a
duplex conversion that required converting the
second-floor kitchen into a master bathroom. The
client desired a luxurious and relaxing retreat in the
new space with a drop-in tub, shower and two
vanities. Architectural details such as wood
paneling, chair rail trim, an arched opening over the
tub and layered crown molding complement the
architectural elements throughout the home. The
marble countertops with decorative shaped
backsplashes, mosaic marble tile, gold toned
decorative light fixtures, polished nickel plumbing
fixtures and the heated floor also contribute to the
luxurious feeling within the space.
