ARI's Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards are
the premier awards for the remodeling industry.
The national awards are given once a year to
recognize excellence in remodeling, as demonstrated in
up to forty-eight categories.
NARI members may submit a project for consideration.
All projects submitted for judging must be an
improvement or addition to an existing structure, with
the exception of one category, "Residential Detached
Structure." Otherwise, new construction projects are
not eligible.
Winners are selected by an impartial panel of judges
who are experts within the industry and associated
fields. The judges review before-and-after photos and
project descriptions for each (anonymized) entry. The
evaluations are focused on the categories of problem-
solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, inno-
vation, degree of functionality and entry presentation.
