PAGE 3 T he brothers had a very busy spring semester, and we're proud to share our accomplishments with you all. Thanks to Philanthropy Chairman Liam Carroll '24, we raised over $5,000 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Fundraisers included our "Pie a Fiji" event, Krispy Kreme donut sales, "Dunk a Fiji" event, and "Dare a Fiji" social media challenge. We also teamed up with Peckish (a popular chicken wing spot on the Hill) on April 20 to donate 15% of their profits by mentioning Fiji at checkout. After the devastating December wildfires in Boulder county, Fiji volunteered twice with Colorado Responds to help package clothes and household essentials, which were donated to victims of the fires. We had a great time doing such meaningful work and look forward to supporting our community more next semester. Last semester, we had the third-highest GPA out of the 21 fraternities in the IFC on the Hill, proving that we truly are a "scholarship first" Fraternity. Thanks to the hard work of our Housing Corporation, this fall our Chapter House will be an entire apartment complex on University Avenue. This complex will not only be an opportunity for 36 brothers to live together, but it will also symbolize our growth over the past three years. We thank our graduate brothers for this amazing next step in our journey—we won't let you down. For the first time since rechartering, we brought back the tradition of the Islander Week. During the week of April 18, we hosted several philanthropy and fundraising events and ended the week with a safe and successful party, thanks to Islander Chairman Pierce Hovey '23. Thank you, brothers, for all your support these past few years. We constantly strive to be courageous leaders and make all our brothers proud. Keep an eye out for Chapter updates this coming fall semester—it will be a busy one! Perge! Grant Stevens '23 Corresponding Secretary sast2805@colorado.edu M y name is Mitch Crist '24, and I am the current president of Beta Kappa. I was born in Denver and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Reflecting on this past year, I believe our Chapter is succeeding in numerous ways and is only growing each year. I'm also proud to say that next year, we will be fully housing a 36-person apartment complex that will serve as our official Chapter House! This past school year, we have set our sights on philanthropy, service, academics, and relations around the Hill. We have collectively raised $5,000 for Susan G. Komen. Boulder County was hit hard by a fire earlier this year. Beta Kappa stepped up and donated our time to Colorado Responds, packing donations for those who lost their homes. Our cumulative GPA has also risen to third in the IFC, which we look to improve on in the future. You can read about all this and more in our report below. Lastly, we have worked hard to grow our presence on the Hill—to let them know who the men of Beta Kappa are and what we stand for. Our philanthropies, joint events with sororities, and overall respect to the community have worked to cement our legacy in Boulder. I am beyond proud of my brothers and their endless dedication to our Chapter. Perge!
