The event was held at the Byron R. White Club inside Folsom Field on the University of Colorado campus. Beta Kappa graduate and former Chapter President Gareth Stevens '88 provided levity and kept the program rolling as the master of ceremonies. Fiji brothers, ranging from teenagers to septuagenarians, packed the Folsom Stadium Club Level and shared a meal and a fun-filled evening, including much laughter, camaraderie, congratulations, and more memories and stories than should be told in a single sitting! The night's festivities were followed the next day with the CU Homecoming celebration and home football game against Oregon State, which the CU Golden Buffaloes won dramatically (37-34 in double overtime!). Over 200 graduate brothers attended with their families and guests. The CU Athletic Department acknowledged the Fijis with a "Welcome Phi Gamma Delta Reunion" notice on the Folsom Field scoreboard jumbotron. Blake Street Tavern (owned by our own Chris Fuselier '86) hosted a raucous tailgate party on Walter B. Franklin Field before, during, and after the big game. A huge "thank you" to all in attendance, and regrets for those brothers who missed out on the festivities. It was a truly memorable event, especially coming on the heels (we hope) of the devastating COVID-19 pandemic. It meant a great deal to all who made the trip to renew old bonds, forge new connections, and witness the great strides made by the undergraduates in the Comeback of Beta Kappa! And—good news—we're doing it all again this fall! Hope to see you in October! Perge! "As a freshman in Fiji, I was the youngest in my class, which as we all know means I am bestowed the honorable duty of kissing the pig. The jubilant reaction from my fellow brothers (old and young) manifested the values of tradition and brotherhood that Fiji holds within myself; an experience I will cherish forever." –Lucas Jernigan '22
