"My biggest takeaway was learning the difference between good debt and bad debt. Investing in yourself is good debt. All debt is not always bad. But there should be a balance," she said. Morgan Clawson wrote a paper about Financial Literacy Week at Middle Tennessee State University and won a $1,000 scholarship from Redstone. Clawson wrote about what she learned during the weeklong slate of activities in April, designed to grow students' knowledge of personal finances. She also talked about ways she will apply that knowledge. e event was hosted by MTSU's Jennings A. Jones College of Business and the Department of Economics and Finance. Redstone was one of the scholarship sponsors. Clawson enters her senior year this fall and says the money will go toward her college expenses.
