R ho Chapter has had an incredibly successful year so far! We were very excited to start safely having in-person events again during the fall semester. Our sisters enjoyed socially distanced ice cream trucks, a variety of workout classes, ice skating, zoo lights, and much more. a SeMeSter in review Our fall semester was filled with many achievements. We had an extremely successful Red Week in November, raising almost $4,000 for Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric Aids Foundation. Our past VP of philanthropy, Roxie Deutsch '20, hosted a fantastic Say Cheese event where sisters spent a whole night selling grilled cheese and mac and cheese in front of our house. Finally, at the end of the fall semester, AEPhi was ranked with the third-highest GPA at The Ohio State University. Rho Chapter also celebrated its centennial in 2021! We are so honored to be a 100-year- old chapter and look forward to many more years to come. While COVID delayed us from celebrating officially (see page 1 for current celebration plans), our centennial was still such a special moment for our chapter. welcoMing new SiSterS We started off the spring semester with our primary recruitment season. Our amazing recruitment team navigated ever-changing COVID-19 protocols, allowing us to successfully welcome 55 new members into our chapter. After recruitment, we transitioned our executive board, which consists solely of members from the class of 2021. During their new member period, the class of 2022 learned the history and values of AEPhi. They also received their Bigs and enjoyed our new class sisterhood events. The new members were initiated on March 7. PhilanthroPic effortS On March 5, Vice President of Philanthropy Jamie Stockton '21 hosted an amazing Phi Trotters basketball tournament. Rho Chapter spent the day cheering on teams and raising money for Sharsheret. In total, we raised $12,000. In addition to Phi Trotters, Jamie planned a candygram fundraiser for Sharsheret in which Panhellenic members could purchase candy to send to their sisters for Valentine's Day. We also celebrated Pink Day. eventS Upcoming events include our AEPhit Week, our formal, Ohio State's Greek Week, and our end-of-the-year celebrations. We are looking forward to the rest of spring semester and what's to come!
