This is our first year back from COVID restrictions and the first semester in our new Shelter. We have adapted to change and conquered many obstacles in our paths. Unfortunately, our academics were not up to our standards. This past semester, we had a chapter GPA of 3.1, while new members had a GPA of 3.4. This put us 14th in grades. We have now implemented many new activities to help boost our grades to where they were before COVID. The major change is that we voted to raise the minimum GPA to a 3.0, which will boost our grades tremendously. We will soon be hosting our first philanthropy event since fall 2020. We have teamed up with the local Humane Society this spring for an event called Delt Dogs, and they will be bringing dogs to our parking lot so attendees can enjoy their presence. People are allowed to bring their dogs as well, and we will be providing puppuccino snacks for the pups. All money will benefit JDRF. Our brotherhood has 79 active members. Our goal for the fall semester is to reach 95, including new members. Our quota for recruitment this summer is 35, but we have a goal of 45 members suiting our standards. Our recruitment team has taken massive steps toward achieving this goal in search of quality men for the fraternity. We have two members on the IFC executive board, with another brother in Junior Greek Life. We are proud of the many other brothers who are working their way to leadership opportunities. Thanks to our Homecoming team, Delt is paired with the lovely ladies of Phi Mu for America's Greatest Homecoming. Our chapters will also be working together for Into the Streets, Oklahoma State's community service event, and we are teamed up for the Greek Olympics this semester. Delta Tau Delta takes pride in our alumni and parents. In fall 2021, we had a successful Dad's Day before a football game. This semester, we are having Mom's Day and looking forward to what will surely be a fun time. We are always looking for new ways to get our alumni involved! We had our Shelter Dedication last semester, and many of our amazing alumni came to be a part of the ceremony. Delt also had Dr. Shrum, the new OSU President, come speak. Delt takes pride in our participation in intramurals and sports. One of our softball teams took third place in Kappa Delta's Shamrock Tournament, and we have three softball teams and two coed softball teams participating in intramurals this spring. We also have two soccer teams—one of which is coed with Phi Mu. We are looking forward to competing in intramural championships!
