irst and foremost, thank you to all attendees of
our alumni tailgate last fall. It was great to see
alumni back at the chapter house donning their
cardinal and gold to take down the Longhorns!
We've already begun planning the upcoming
tailgate this fall. Please save the date for
Saturday, September 24, against Baylor.
We're hoping to build on our turnout from this
past year as well as elevate the experience with
some thoughtful touches based on feedback.
While we anticipate sending additional email
reminders over the summer ahead of the event,
the best way you can help us bring the most
alumni back to the chapter house is to mention
the event to brothers you stay closest to!
If you couldn't make it to last year's tailgate,
check out some of the pictures submitted by
Gary Flander '78 and Brian Ahrens '90.
Looking forward to seeing my brothers this fall!
Fraternally,
Michael Nelson '07

Bob Crane '58 moved his office to
Washington, Iowa, in December 2020. He
recently surrendered his residential and
commercial license, so he only does farm
management and valuation, plus his own
farms. He and Connie go to Gainesville, Fla.,
each year from January to March. Bob still
sings in a couple of semi-pro choruses (he is
a former Iowa State singer and sang for four
years). He has two grandchildren and is proud
of his family, ATΩ, and Iowa State University.

Peter Strub '78 shares that all is well in
Travelers Rest, S.C. He has been having fun
working for more than 40 years, and he plans to
continue to do so until May 2025. He serves on
the ISU Civil Engineering Advisory Council,
so he usually visits the school in April and
October for meetings. Peter and Denise live
between Greenville, S.C., and Asheville, N.C.,
in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. If
anyone passes through his area, please contact
him, as he would love visits from brothers.
