D elta Psi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma is extremely excited about this spring semester, as we have plenty of great things happening! We started off the year transitioning positions in the chapter council, which has been an exciting time for the chapter. is executive board is nothing short of amazing, and I feel privileged to be surrounded by such outstanding, dedicated women. A Flourishing Sisterhood We have two members studying abroad this semester! One of our members is furthering her education in Italy while the other is in Prague. Sisters are looking forward to hearing about their exciting adventures. Our ladies in Lubbock are also doing amazing things. e grade report for the past semester was released, and we are happy to announce that we are third in grades amongst the 12 sororities on campus; 77 of our members earned a 4.0 GPA in the fall semester! Despite the challenges we've faced with virtual learning, the resilience of Delta Psi is second to none. Making the Difference Kappa Kappa Gamma recently changed direction for national philanthropies, so our chapter now has the pleasure of partnering with e Jed Foundation. is organization focuses on and raises awareness of the mental health and well-being of teens and young adults. us far, we have had the opportunity to educate our chapter and reduce the stigma that surrounds these topics through our service. Our Kappa Klassic fundraiser is scheduled for the end of April; we will divide the donations between UMC's Children's Miracle Network, our local philanthropy, and e Jed Foundation. Giving back to the community is something we greatly prioritize at Delta Psi. It warms our hearts knowing we can make a difference in a simple way that can change the trajectory of someone's life. Enjoying Every Moment We had our first date party, Kappa Krush, in mid-February, which was a lovely opportunity for our members to gather and enjoy a pre- Valentine's Day event. We also held a sisterhood event on Valentine's Day with a chocolate fountain and other goodies for our members to enjoy while watching a movie on the projector. Mom's Weekend, an event that our members always cherish, was held at the beginning of March. We had shopping at the lodge and brunch to honor the women we love so dearly; it was a magnificent turnout. Continued on page 4
