With a beautiful house and location, it was where Jane Faubion Eriksen '56, Jana Eriken Voth '78, Whitney Eriksen Chang '05, Kelsey Eriksen Barnes '07, and Lindsey Eriksen Leslie '11 felt the most comfortable, and the place they knew would become their home away from home. "Lambda Chapter has such a great reputation," Jana said. "The house is a centerpiece of the campus, and it drew us to Chi O." The family members each had unique experiences, and they fondly look back at their time as undergraduates. Movie nights in the Tube Room and red nightgowns around the holidays are just a few of their favorite memories. Some of the Eriksen women served as Chapter officers and were involved on campus, and they embraced their experiences. Jana served as house manager and president her senior year, and Kelsey was a panhellenic delegate. Whitney enjoyed participating in Rock Chalk Revue her senior year and served as the philanthropy chairman. Jana keeps up with the progress of the Chapter and how it has provided new opportunities to its members over the years. "There is more focus on community service now than when I was in the house," she shared. With so many wonderful memories shared between them, the Eriksen family was Kelsey Eriksen Barnes '07, Lindsey Eriksen Leslie '11, Jane Faubion Eriksen '56, Jana Eriksen Voth '78, and Whitney Eriksen Chang '05. inspired to give back to Lambda Chapter. Their contribution began with Jana's nieces, who supported the chairman campaign several years ago. "All three had a strong bond with their Chi Omega experiences," Jana shared. The family's choice to support the bedroom project comes from their love of the Chapter House and how meaningful it is to Jana and her mother, Jane. The members look forward to how the renovation will improve their home and provide for future generations. Supporting the bedroom renovation is just one way the Eriksen women stay connected to Lambda—they also love staying in touch with their sisters! At Whitney's, Kelsey's, and Lindsey's weddings, their pledge sisters joined their Chi O family members to sing "Shades." In their personal lives, Jane resides in Hutchinson, Kansas, and Jana lives in Littleton, Colorado. Jane's twin sister was a Chi O with her at KU, and their older sister was a Chi O at Kansas State. Whitney lives in Fairway, Kansas; she worked for the KU Alumni Association and is now a second-grade teacher and has two children. Kelsey lives in Lawrence with her husband and their 2-year-old; she worked for KU Endowment and is now COO of a fundraising consulting company. Lindsey and her husband reside in Lawrence and are proud parents of a 1-year-old. She is an Investment Analyst for KPERS. "There are so many great memories of Lambda Chapter traditions that make our connections stronger," Jana said.
