LAMBDA LOG 2 President Sadie Williams '20 Vice President Bailey Wilson '21 Secretary Caroline Whipple '21 Treasurer Ava Lemon '21 New Member Educator Elle Schloegel '21 Personnel Chairman Natalie Behzadpor '21 Panhellenic Delegate Reilly Moreland '21 Recruitment Chairman Audrey Grabmeier '21 kuchio.recruitment@gmail.com Social Chairman Elle Dahlgren '21 House Manager Sadie Putnam '21 Director of Programming Julia Huber '20 Director of Diversity and Inclusion Katherine Ewing '20 Chapter Officers A fter resuming in-person recruitment in the summer of 2021, members of Lambda Chapter were able to round out their fall semester with as much class and commitment as would be expected of members of Chi Omega. After earning "Top of the Hill" for having the highest chapter-wide GPA in spring 2021, spirits were high leading into the spring of 2022! The new executive board, elected in November, participated virtually in the 2022 Firesides Leadership Training. Although initially planned to be held in- person, the executive board and select cardinal cabinet directors were excited to attend the video sessions over the last weekend in January. We were able to welcome 66 new members in the fall of 2021! Welcoming each of these inspiring women back to 1345 W. Campus Road was truly a sight for sore eyes after not having the opportunity to have an in-person Bid Day in 2020. Under the leadership of the outstanding Audrey Grabmeier '21, preparations have already begun for fall formal recruitment in 2022! She is in the middle of selecting recruitment leadership positions and has been working tirelessly to ensure that, come August, all the young women walking through our front door will not only find a place that looks beautiful, but also a home to grow into over the next four years. Our social chairman, Elle Dahlgren '21, worked diligently over the beginning of the spring semester to plan our spring date party, Chi O Crush. The event was held on February 11 at the Eldridge here in Lawrence. Thanks to her thoughtful planning, the date party went off without a hitch—with ample smiles and laughter shared by members and their dates! In these coming months, Vice President Bailey Wilson '21 will be leading the Lambda scholarship selection. Lambda is fortunate to have numerous endowed scholarships at KU Endowment and the Chi Omega Foundation available for members. Scholarships winners and other academic accomplishments are celebrated at the Scholarship Banquet held in the Spring. Lastly, our wonderful directors of Rock Chalk Revue, Katherine Ewing '20, Katie Neal '20, and Abby Harding '21, led our cast of 47 Chi Omegas to win 10 awards, including Best Overall Show! Not performing with a partner didn't stop these incredible leaders, and Lambda is lucky to have them. I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to serve Lambda over this coming year and share these updates with each of you. Thank you for your continuous support of our Chapter!
