Email: nwrommel@gmail.com Deserving of Pomp and Circumstance Congratulations, Seniors! "SigEp defined some of the most formative years of my life. It's an experience I believe every young man deserves." Proud to Be SigEp on a beach chatting, the night turned to morning as we watched the sun come up," Ben said. "As a kid that grew up in a small town in Nebraska, I would have never thought a moment like that would become a part of my future." Ben and his friends made a pact to stay in touch with one another after graduating college. "Technology has certainly made it easy to stay connected with brothers, but we still make a conscious effort to plan an event, like a golf trip, that we can look all forward to." Even if Ben's not intentionally making plans to reconnect with brothers, he still finds himself running into SigEps all over the country: "The SigEp network is global. No matter the industry, civic organization, or city, it's amazing how many events I've attended and encountered a fellow SigEp," Ben shared. "The conversations are always a joy; we share stories, experiences, and what it means to be a SigEp." In addition to meeting men that would become lifelong friends or strangers that would soon become acquaintances, being a SigEp allowed Ben to achieve his proudest accomplishment: meeting his wife, Cecilia. "It sounds cheesy, but it's true," Ben added. "Cecilia and I were both in Greek life, and it allowed us to mature more than words can say. Our timing for finding each other couldn't have been better," Ben shared. "Also, if you can find someone that can go to a wedding and remember the names of more than 15 SigEps, then you know you have a keeper!" The Greek life experience ensured that Ben had the opportunity to learn more about himself, his peers, and his future. "It's crazy to think that I almost never went through with recruitment," Ben admitted. "The trips I took as part of leadership within Nebraska Chapter, the brothers and alumni I met, and the experiences I had are invaluable. There isn't a day that goes by that I'm not proud to be a SigEp." When he's not volunteering and mentoring for Colorado Delta, Ben enjoys reconnecting with or meeting SigEps, golfing, skiing, and hunting for the best burrito in the Denver area. To learn more about Ben, or where to find the best burrito, you can connect with him at ben.rowse@aleragroup.com. (Continued from page 1) Alumni News
