Marianne Long D'Amato '83 and Audrey D'Amato '12, a Chi Chapter mother-daughter duo, not only found that second home, but they also share it—and the experiences it provides—with each other. What made Tri Sigma the right sorority for you? Marianne: Going through Sigma's recruitment felt like home. The house was full of incredible women from different backgrounds pursuing a variety of degrees, and the overall synergy was incredible. Audrey: During recruitment, Tri Sigma put their philanthropy on full display, and it was a cause that resonated with me. The sisterhood was easy to see during that week, and moving away from home for the first time, that was important to me. How would you describe the impact of Chi Chapter on your life? Marianne: The life lessons learned in the house were diverse and lasting. Tri Sigma provided non-stop leadership opportunities and valuable experiences in compromise, problem-solving, trust, and support. Audrey: Chi provided leadership opportunities which helped me adapt to the professional work environment.
