(ASBA) is excited
to name Monica
Timberlake as
the 2022 Advocate
of the Year Award
re-
cipient. Timberlake
is a school
board member in
the Quartzsite Elementary
School
District and
ASBA's
La Paz County
Director.
The
award was
present-
ed to
Timberlake
during
ASBA's
Advocacy
Day at the
Arizona
State Capitol
on March
14,
2022. This
is an annual
award
presented
to recognize
an
edu-
cation
advocate
or advocates
who have
excelled
in grassroots
advocacy.
"Monica
is a
huge advocate
for
students
and public
schools
in rural
areas
and
understands
the
special
needs and
challenges
rural communities
face.
She knows
the issues
because
she is
part of
that community.
I
can't think
of anyone
more deserving
than Monica
to receive
this
award," states
