Chapter Eternal
Nathaniel G. Glover '49 entered Chapter
Eternal peacefully on June 30, 2020, after
being diagnosed with cancer in June 2019.
He was raised in Lakeland, Fla., served in the
U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War, and
while at UF, he met Laura, his devoted wife
of 63 years, who took great and gentle care of
him in the final months of a long and active
life. Nat worked in pharmaceutical sales before
becoming a general contractor; he worked well
into his 90th year, celebrating his birthday with
extended family at his home in Winter Haven.
He was an avid golfer, a witty conversationalist,
and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and
great-grandfather. Nat was preceded in death
by his son, Nathanial Jr.; he is survived by his
wife, Laura; his daughters, Gwynne (Robert)
and Tracey (Barton); five grandchildren; and
two great-grandchildren.
