4 Sigma Kappa H appy New Year to all of our wonderful alumnae! With the chapter thriving and receiving awards in a beautiful home on campus, we want to share opportunities for our alumnae to get involved during this new year. We are always looking for volunteers to join the House Corporation Board or Advisory Board. If you are not able to donate your time, however, the house corporation also has operational needs that require support. Any assistance you can provide for improvements is greatly appreciated! We would love to share with you some examples of how your assistance will benefit the chapter. • Fall recruitment: Annually, we undertake numerous projects to get the house ready for recruitment. This includes painting, refreshing the landscape, deep cleaning, pressure washing, and more. • Patio furniture: Our collegians have asked us for assistance to further beautify our fabulous backyard. We know that this has been a request for several years now; many of you may have asked for this when you were at UF! With the additional furniture, we also plan to fence in the backyard to protect the furniture and back entrances. • Composite restoration: We have undergone a review of all our composites dating back to our Beta Tau charter in 1949. We want all of our sisters and their families to be able to tour the house and find this special memory hanging on our walls. We will celebrate 75 years of Beta Tau history in 2024, and this is a great way to honor all of our sisters. • Operating expenses: As we move into our sixth year in the house, we have expenses that need attention, including updating the kitchen, replacing appliances as well as carpet or furniture, adding artwork to the walls, and addressing mechanical infrastructures. • Digital museum: To help us find and preserve our Sigma Kappa and Beta Tau memories, National Headquarters is creating a digital museum to honor all Sigma Kappa memories since 1874. We are going to create this for Beta Tau; it will be a great opportunity to bring together our 75 years of history. You can donate one of two ways—by Venmo or by check. Beta Tau's Venmo is @Beta- TauCorpBoard. Please make checks out to the Beta Tau House Corporation of Sigma Kappa and mail them to: SK BT Corporation Board, Sigma Kappa Sorority, 1108 East Panhellenic Drive, Gainesville, FL 32601. Thank you for your assistance in any form that may be.
