Washington Alpha Delt Washington Alpha Delt e e A PUBLICATION OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST ALUMNI OF ALPHA DELTA PHI • FALL 2021 e Dream of ADPhi at Washington Continues Much to Look Forward to is Spring G reat news continues from Washington Chapter as renovation and reconstruction of the Chapter House nears completion. In addition, the Chapter continues to function well in its temporary location in the leased DU facility. Even so, we egarly await to moving Brothers into our new Chapter House in March 2022! We'll be ready once the official building occupancy has been approved through the permitting process. e pandemic continues, of course, which is a challenge to all fraternities. Our young men are vaccinated and complying with government health advice and regulations. rough all these challenges, the Chapter continues to thrive. We welcomed a fall member class of 23 despite factors such as a ban on in-person recruitment last summer and a decline in interest in the greek system. However, we have prevailed with style and perseverance. A Successful 2021 Homecoming In lieu of the usual Homecoming event, we scheduled tours of the new building still under construction. Around 50 alumni, parents, and actives showed up for a tour. All were in awe of what will soon be our Chapter House. More than a few alumni said they wished they could turn back the clock and live there when it opens! It was refreshing to see everyone's support of ADPhi while making connections with classmates, sharing memories, and expressing enthusiasm for the love of the brotherhood. Some of the pledges were there and observed the alumni make these connections. ey, too, expressed pride and joy in becoming a part of our great fraternity. Some said enthusiastically they had made the right decision to pledge Alpha Delt. Special thanks go out to Chef, Jennifer Lewandowski for her donation of time, the effort she devoted setting up and removing tents, and securing refreshments for the crowd. She is much more than a Chef, and she remains a vital part of our Chapter. Jennifer knows firsthand how our fraternity operates! Built to Last Fund Drive Continues As move-in day approaches, we still require additional funds for security systems and equipment as well as furniture in the common areas and individual rooms. You can donate by going to adphibuilttolast.com. Get your classmates together to claim a room and have it named aer your class.
