As an alumna, her favorite memory
was the opportunity to substitute as the
housemother in the beginning of the
school year.
Theta Iota had a big impact on Shelby's
life, and she shares that she wouldn't
be the person she is today without Tri
Delta. With the opportunities to lead
others through bible study and officer
positions, Shelby attributes Tri Delta
for her growth in her ability to care for
and support others.
"I'm so grateful for the opportunities
I was given to grow in my faith,
character and leadership. Being a leader
in the house allowed me to get to know
and build relationships with not only
my pledge class, but all the pledge
classes after me as well," Shelby said.
In her personal life, Shelby is a real
estate agent on the Pert Home Team
with Keller Williams One Legacy
Partners in Topeka, Kansas. She also
coaches junior varsity cheer at her
high school. "Both of these have been
learning experiences for me and have
also been great opportunities to serve
others and meet new people," Shelby
said. "It has been a good challenge, and
I'm excited to see what the future has
in store for me as I continue to grow
my business!"
Shelby shares that her career has been
rewarding, as she has been licensed in
real estate for eight months and has had
six closings. She enjoys guiding first-
time homebuyers in their next step in
life. Shelby has an entire support system
and has received referrals from friends,
family and past clients who want to help
her business grow and succeed.
Shelby's mother and stepfather are
both realtors on the same team, and she
enjoys working alongside them. She
also has two sisters who attend KU and
Washburn University, and she's proud
of them.
In her free time, Shelby enjoys boating,
wake surfing, walking her dog, Penny,
watching Marvel movies, cooking
and spending time with friends. You
