I am proud to report that our chapter has hit the ground running! e new house has provided a perfect place to foster our chapter's growth as an integral part of both the Greek and campus communities. We started the semester off strong with a successful recruitment week thanks to the hard work of our recruitment team, helmed by VNR for Recruitment Eli Collins '19. We initiated 12 new brothers who will each play a valuable part in our chapter's continued success. Following recruitment week, Alpha Gamma Chapter hosted the first IFC meeting of the semester at the chapter house. We also hosted Duolos, a Christian ministry within the UF Greek community, as well as the CALS Leadership Institute, which held class in our chapter room. I believe that holding such events here at the house increases the brotherhood's awareness of the variety of on-campus involvement opportunities. Perhaps most importantly, the new house has provided a place for chapter meetings, fellowship, and bonding among our members. Having such a place to call our own has filled the noticeable void of recent years, and our chapter is now poised for a bright future of Making Better Men. LEADERS ON CAMPUS Fundraising for our annual philanthropy, Buck-Off, is in full swing! is year, Buck- Off raised funds for the Moffitt Cancer Center, Florida's Top Cancer Hospital. Alumni and friends play a crucial role in our philanthropic efforts, which culminated with our signature mechanical bull-riding competition at the house on November 17. We raised nearly $17,000! Our chapter was recognized for numerous awards by the National Fraternity this fall. Although recognition is not the driving force behind our endeavors, it is one of the Four Pillars of Alpha Gamma Rho and, therefore, a cherished part of our lives. Alpha Gamma received: • Gold in Crescent Awards: Best Feature Story • Silver in Living the Promise and Values Award • Silver in Outstanding Adviser Award; Dr. Charlotte Emerson • Bronze in Academic Excellence • Bronze in Lifelong Membership Development • Bronze in Committed Alumni Corporation Award Furthermore, our chapter submitted applications for numerous individual and chapter awards as a part of UF Greek Awards. Among the individual awards received, I was awarded the Buddy McKay Greek Person of the Year Award, and our advisor, Rob Hunt '82, was recognized as the Advisor of the Year. Alpha Gamma Chapter received the following awards: • Outstanding Scholarship Program • Outstanding Philanthropy • Outstanding Virtual Program • Greek Collaboration Award As always, I must thank our alumni for their role in our successes, and it has been wonderful to see some of you again this fall. We look forward to welcoming you back to campus in 2022! Fraternally, Robbie Sistrunk '18 Noble Ruler HOME SWEET HOME Brothers Make the Most of Our New Chapter House
