Currently Jim is the owner of Strickland Ranch and is the managing partner of Big Red Cattle Company and Blackbeard's Ranch. All of his ranches work closely with the Florida Wildlife Commission, the University of Florida, the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and the USDA to help study and promote Florida's ecosystems. Jim is a President of the Florida Cattleman's Association and has served as past Chairman of both the Florida Cattleman's Foundation and the National Cattleman's Beef Association PAC.
