Being the Best
T
he Gamma Theta experience supplements what happens in the classroom in ways men cannot
get elsewhere on campus. The chapter house is a place where men can learn—and fail—in a
safe environment. Undergraduate brothers have an opportunity to test and try their leadership among
their peers. Each meeting, event, social function, and conversation shapes a member's ability and
confidence to prepare them for life after college. These experiences not only propel them into a
successful career, but also establish friendships and a network that will last a lifetime.
Our men are upholding our long tradition of being the premier fraternity on the University of Florida
campus. The chapter strives to excel academically, sustain a stronger GPA than the average student,
maintain a membership above the campus IFC average, and ensure a functional, positive cash-flow
budget. With these goals, the chapter is focused on continuing their yearly receipt of the Sigma Chi
J. Dwight Peterson Significant Chapter Award.
"e first time I walked through the door of the Sigma Chi house, I knew there was something different about
the group of men. Gamma eta was exactly what I was looking for—a group of values-based leaders with
high ambition. is new house is aimed at continuing the legacy and impact that Sigma Chi has le —will
continue to leave—on the University of Florida for generations to come." – TYLER CAMERON '19
