p. 2 TEXAS ALPHA ACCOLADE "I think what I learned about life and how to work with other people has turned out to be much more valuable than any formal education I ever received from the University of Texas—or anywhere else for that matter. I learned not only how and when to lead, but also how and when to follow and support others. It really made it easy to feel at home in an otherwise very large community at UT." Todd and his wife, Janie, live in Houston, Texas. Janie also attended University of Texas (UT) and is a member of Chi Omega. In Houston, Todd works as an investor and developer of commercial real estate properties for his investment company, MLB Capital Partners. He and Janie have three children, Richard, Laura, and Robert, who are all successful in their own ways. "At this point, [life] is primarily about staying in touch with old friends and watching our families grow and mature. It is amazing how many of our sons and daughters have become friends or connected with each other, which helps rekindle old relationships," Todd says. "I've also enjoyed meeting and interviewing a number of graduating SigEps who have called for advice about their careers and job opportunities. It's great when I can help them." Todd hunts, fishes, and plays a little golf. He and Janie love finding new and exciting restaurants around the world. ey hope to begin traveling again soon.
