DELTA UPSILON 3 COMPETING IN A CHANGING ENVIRONMENT W hile the Delta Upsilon experience is certainly more than the bricks and mortar of the chapter house, our home undoubtedly plays a significant role in the development of our brothers and is a proud symbol of our shared values and goals. The next phase of our vision is grounded in projects that address our immediate infrastructure needs and plans to sustain our chapter. The chapter's needs and our solutions are outlined below. COMPETITION FOR STUDENT HOUSING Due to the allure of newly built apartments with luxury amenities, many of the upperclassmen move out of the house for their junior and senior years. This is a critical break in the development of the DU brotherhood bond that we all experienced: older members helping younger members in their leadership and character development. This project will raise the standard of living for our members. TECHNOLOGY NEEDS Over the past 10 years, we have upgraded the house with patchwork technology to allow our members to keep up with today's learning advancements. We need to raise our technology standards to be the best on campus. HEALTH AND LIFESTYLE Our members are keenly aware of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We need to provide an environment for them to workout with the latest gear and technology. We also need a modern kitchen to provide the variety of healthy food choices that are expected by today's members. CAMPUSTOWN APARTMENTS THE RETREAT LUXURY APARTMENTS Brothers have the highest sense of belonging when sophomores, juniors, and seniors live in the chapter house. Research by Dyad Strategies, a firm engaged in applied research in the fraternity and sorority industry.
