Looking back on her college experience, Blair McNamee Ward '07 loved every minute spent at the Alpha Phi house with all her sisters. "Living with 80 of my best friends was magical," Blair shared. "It provided endless amounts of laughter, clothes, study buddies, and sisters who ensured your hair was teased just right and that your smokey eye was ready for that special party." Alpha Phi also provided Blair life lessons, such as the importance and impact of giving, showing up, and how a group of innovative women can change the world. To show her appreciation for that invaluable experience and to provide the same opportunities for future generations of Alpha Phi sisters at Mizzou, Blair contributed to Omicron Chapter's Sisterhood Begins at Home—Building on a Century of Tradition campaign. "Being that my most favorite time was living in the house, I want to give back to allow other girls that experience. We have grown so much as a chapter over the years, and this is a pivotal moment to enhance Alpha Phi even more," she stated. "This campaign will allow more sisters to live in the house, stay competitive with recruitment, increase study space, keep ritual in the house…really, I can go on and on in regard to what impact it will have on Alpha Phi, but at the end of the day, it will allow more women to enjoy the sisterhood of Alpha Phi." For Blair, the sisterhood was infectious, and the sense of family was undeniable. Her sisters were real, hilarious, and had such beautiful hearts—she knew right away she wanted to be part of the Alpha Phi family. As an alumna, she remains a dedicated supporter of the Omicron Chapter and encourages her sisters to reflect on how AF shaped them and to consider paying it forward. "Every dollar matters. A $500 donation is only a $41 monthly payment over a year," she said. "Help make the Alpha Phi house the most magical place on campus!" Blair lives in Kirkwood, Mo., with her husband Dustin, and their sons, Hudson (3) and Brooks (1). She loves spending time outside playing with her boys or in the garden.
