BY JAY BOBBIN With the finale of "The Bold Type" soon to be telecast, how has finishing your work on the series as the character Kat been for you? This may sound really cheesy and maybe hippy-dippy, but I wrote Kat a letter the day after we wrapped just to say, "Thank you." She's given me a lot. I've had some really beautiful interactions with people, just from walking to get my groceries or being at the corner store. It happens at very unexpected moments. Are you happy with where Kat ends up as the show concludes? I think this season as a whole finds all three of the girls starting to come into their own. Kat specifically is moving into this space where she's tapping into her personal power and using her privilege to create more change, and to overcome some of the challenges and fears that have held her back. How was it to film the final episodes of "The Bold Type" during the coronavirus pandemic? It was a very different world. We got shut down at the same time as the rest of the planet, so we came back to a process that was unlike anything that any of us had ever experienced. There were so many new aspects to just being on the set, which is a high-stress environment anyway. It was intense, but in general, I felt this overwhelming sense of gratitude that we had the opportunity to come back and finish the show in a way that was intentional. You don't always get that.
