The proposed project will include:
n Historic preservation of the existing facility, including the
1927 house and 1963 addition.
• Basement: Convert to suite-style bedrooms with private bathrooms.
• First floor: Expand kitchen, restore living room, update
dining room, renovate restroom, and improve library.
• Second, third, and fourth floors: Convert to suite-style bedrooms with
private bathrooms.
• Separate and distinct from historic building.
n A new addition, featuring:
• Market-driven apartment design.
• Accessible residential units.
• Modern technology, study areas, and meeting spaces.
• Outdoor amenities, stormwater management, and parking.
n A scholarship endowment exclusively for Alpha Phi undergraduate members.

ogether, the alumni association, house corporation, and building committee have developed a plan to address the long-term
housing goals for our chapter. Through these conversations, a strategy has been developed with Simonson & Associates Architects,
LLC, a Des Moines-based architecture firm, that we believe is critical to our return to campus and to the future of our chapter.
