108 YEARS OF
TRADITION
AT IOWA STATE
T
he Alpha Phi Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha has a storied
tradition dating back to 1913. Our proud history at Iowa
State University is filled with accomplishment and honor
and has influenced the lives of more than 1,700 initiates. Many
of our best college memories can be traced back to our Pike
experience and home at 2112 Lincoln Way.
Iowa State Pike has played a significant role in the personal
and professional development of its members. Our alumni have
distinguished themselves as leaders in their professions and
communities. Much of this success is due to the lessons we learned
outside the classroom in chapter meetings and activities. The
fraternity provided a place to develop skills essential for success in
today's competitive world.
As alumni of the chapter, we have a responsibility to provide future
generations the same opportunity to grow as scholars, leaders,
athletes, and gentlemen. Today, we have a unique opportunity to
start fresh, to revisit our core values, and to create an environment
where the next generation of men can learn and grow through
these inherent values of our brotherhood. We ask you to
remember those who follow and to join your alumni
brothers in an effort we believe will secure this legacy for
years to come.
PI KAPPA ALPHA 1
"Never before in Alpha Phi history has the alumni base been as large, the fraternal expertise and
individual talents been as strong, or the financial ability and willingness to get involved been so available.
I would feel extremely guilty if we as an alumni base were not able to coordinate these qualities to
reorganize Alpha Phi to meet the needs of future Pikes. Therefore, I am calling on all Alpha Phi alumni to
get involved today, with your talents and your finances. In the Bonds."
– Mike Risk '70, Alpha Phi Alumni Association and Former Supreme Council Vice President
