ENSURING OUR LEGACY A s we prepare for the return of Alpha Phi Chapter at Iowa State University, we are reminded of the men who preceded us. If not for their generosity and passion, there would not have been a Pi Kappa Alpha legacy for us to inherit. The final point of our planning is to provide a competitive facility, and we cannot do it alone. This feasibility study is directed toward a highly selective group of alumni who have both the ability and interest to provide major assistance in making this plan a reality. Volunteer leadership and financial investments from key alumni like you will ensure Pi Kappa Alpha is able to successfully complete this project. With your assistance, Pike will continue to play a major role in the lives of the hundreds of talented young men who will grace the halls of our new home. We are grateful for your thoughtful advice and support of Alpha Phi Chapter. Together, we will ensure our legacy continues for future generations. "In 2021, we are utilizing the full breadth of resources of the International Fraternity, Alpha Phi alumni, and Iowa State University to re-establish a chapter that will reflect the strong and vibrant history of our fraternity. At the same time, we will be setting a new standard of excellence for fraternities at Iowa State. With this new standard, it is vital that we provide a modern facility for these men to work and live that addresses the needs of a 21st century student. The timing couldn't be better, and I believe we should act NOW to make this a reality." – Joe Wegelin '07, Alpha Phi Alumni Association President ALPHA PHI ALUMNI ASSOCIATION BOARD Joe Wegelin '07, President Matthew Swim '03, Treasurer Mike Risk '70 Jerry McClelland '73 Mike Cowan '00 Sam Leahy '10 Tyler Norgren '13 Caleb Paterson '16 ALPHA PHI HOUSE CORPORATION BOARD Alex Olson '04, President Jerry McClelland '73, Vice President Chris Zimmerman '01, Treasurer Sam Leahy '10, Secretary Cliff Mann '67 Bill White '67 Mark Zirkelbach '67 Matt Swim '03 Alan Foster '05 "If I have learned anything from the last few years AND going through a worldwide pandemic, it is the need to be flexible and adaptive. In the current Iowa State University campus environment, a single-use facility such as ours creates additional pressure on alternative occupancy and revenue when an active chapter is not available. As we look to the future of 2112 Lincoln Way, I see the need to reimagine how we look at maintaining consistent occupancy and revenue while keeping the iconic look we all know and love. Now is an opportune time to transition the property for generations of future Iowa State Pikes while creating a revenue safety net." – Alex Olson '04, Alpha Phi House Corporation President PI KAPPA ALPHA 7
