THE NU'S 2 Χ Ω S ince she joined the sisterhood more than 60 years ago, Karen Gusloff Glanert '58 has kept Chi Omega ever at heart. "I have lifelong friends from my years at Chi Omega in Madison," Karen shared. When she moved to Milwaukee as an alumna, she joined the Milwaukee Alumnae Chapter, where she held several positions, including president for two years. Karen mentioned that when she was still in college, word would get out that the Milwaukee alumnae were coming to visit the Chapter House, which meant she and her sisters would have to clean up their rooms. "I never dreamed I would become one of those Milwaukee alumnae!" she said jokingly. Seven years after graduating, she organized her first Chi Omega reunion. Around eight sisters and their husbands gathered in Door County, Wisconsin, to reminisce and make new memories. Since then, they've met in Fort Myers and Longboat Key, Florida; Snowmass, Colorado; Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin; and they've even traveled to California for the Rose Bowl. Karen and her Chi Omega sisters have gotten together in some of these places more than once for their beloved Nu Chapter reunions. "The people attending always varies, and they travel from Arizona, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Maryland, Georgia, Florida, and Ohio, to name a few places," she stated. "This has been going on for 60 years, and we aren't done yet!" Karen and her late husband, Paul, have a daughter, Jennifer; son-in-law, Frank; and grandchildren, Jack and Maggie. She also showed her ongoing commitment and love for Chi Omega by generously supporting Nu Chapter's capital campaign in 2018. Karen enjoys the retired life in Miromar Lakes, Florida, and can be reached at kglanert@aol.com.
