A new feature available at the library e Cumberland County Public Library an- nounced BookMatch, a new service that will help adult readers find their next great read. Interested customers can fill out short online questionnaires on the library's website to identify books they have read and like, as well as the characteristics they're looking for in a book. BookMatch's features allow readers to choose a genre, time-period, location and character type. Based on the answers, library staffs can create and email readers custom-made lists. Customers can also have items on the list placed on hold for pickup at any of the library's eight locations. "We have so many amazing books and we'd love to help our customers figure out what to read next," said Adult Services Librarian Marissa Mace. Murchison Road improvement project planned A section of Murchison Road is to be upgraded with raised medians and U-turn areas. N.C. trans- portation officials are seeking public feedback on the proposal to improve a 2-mile section of Murchison Road which will included redesigning a major inter- section. e designated upgrade is between Inter- state 295 and just south of the U.S. 401 Bypass. e department has established a project webpage where a preliminary design map, project timeline, estimated costs and other information can be found. e website includes a video showing a simulation of how Murchison Road will be upgraded. e heavily traveled intersection of Murchison Road at the U.S. 401 Bypass would be reconstructed into a quadrant- left design. Since most delays at intersections are caused by left-turning traffic, this innovative design redirects left-turning drivers onto a connector road, reducing congestion at the major intersection. NCDOT will consider public comments submitted by June 7 toward the final design. People may send their feedback or ask questions of the project design team via email to NC210-Murchison@PublicInput. com or by calling 984-205-6615 (enter project code 9728 and leave a voicemail).
