BRANSONBULLETIN BRANSONBULLETIN TALKING ROCKS CAVERN Talking Rocks Cavern was once known as "Fairy Cave" due to its otherworldly appearance. There is a glittering array of crystals that lets you know you're in for an unforgettable caving experience. Visitors explore the cave with knowledgeable guides who tell the history and share their education about its unique geology. Talking Rocks is a vertical cave with stairs that descend into the cavern, so it may not be for everyone. When you come back up top, you may set out to pan for gemstones, enjoy a round of mini-golf, crack open a geode, or watch the children running around in the play area. BRANSON SCENIC RAILWAY Choo-choo through the Ozark Mountains on a 1950's vintage passenger train car. A two-hour Branson Scenic Railway excursion leaves the historic depot in downtown and travels through tunnels, over trestles, and offers great scenic views. There's not any assigned seating on this ride, so you can wander through each of the cars, including the Silver Lake car that offers drinks and snacks. There's a dinner train that runs between April and October. But be sure to make your family's reservations early to enjoy a nice meal and the sunset. OUTDOOR ADVENTURES, ANYONE? Branson is known for its live entertainment and family attractions, but there are an abundance of open-air adventures that await you as well! The great outdoors are just a few miles away from the fountains at Branson Landing, so make time to experience them during your trip. State parks, cool caverns, pristine lakes, and hiking trails in the Ozark Mountains are minutes away from the action. Here are a couple of exciting ways to spend time with your loved ones during your Branson vacation. You'll be glad your family had a chance to get back to nature. Parakeet Pete's Waterfront Zipline at The Branson Landing THE BEST OF BRANSON Since the early 1920's exploring caves was one of the earliest forms of tourism here in the Ozarks. It is still one of the most exciting adventures to be experienced even today. Talking Rocks Cavern is the perfect destination for kids of all ages to experience the fun of playing explorer. This incredible wonder of nature, once called "Missouri's Most Beautiful Cave" provides a different tempo from that of the usual shows and roller coasters. Talking Rocks Cavern and its beautiful landscape of glistening crystals provide the backdrop for an incredible adventure that the family will remember for a lifetime. The hour long tour of Talking Rocks Cavern is what we refer to as "edutainment." By this, we focus on education, as well as entertainment. It is educational in nature, as you will learn about the caves discovery and related history, as well as learn about the mineral deposits and other geological information while on your tour. The tour is also entertaining. Our cave guides are ready to answer questions that you may have, and can find answers to those questions that they may not already know. Above ground activities are numerous! Play a round of Cave Country Mini-Golf on our mostly shaded miniature golf course. Purchase a bag of sluice, pan for gemstones, and take home all of the gems that you find! Hike the nature trail to the lookout tower and then enjoy a break at one of the shaded picnic areas. Bring the kids (and grandkids!) and let them explore the expanded Kid's Play Area. Discover the "back-to- nature" side of Branson at Talking Rocks Cavern!
