MU NEWS Χ Ω Mu Chapter of Chi Omega at the University of California-Berkeley Spring 2021 I n September 2020, we launched the Supporting Our Sisters fundraising campaign to raise $100,000 to help Mu Chapter House Corporation offset the significant fiscal shortfall it is facing this academic year. By December 31, more than 250 of our Chi Omega sisters donated more than $77,000 toward our goal. We received generous donations from generations of Mu sisters and initiates of other Chi Omega chapters. Sisters initiated from 1939 (yes, that is correct!) through 2012 made donations. While we did not reach our fundraising goal, the donations are helping the house corporation through this fiscal challenge. We enjoyed the many messages of support and encouragement that were sent to us, and know how important our beloved 2421 Piedmont Avenue home is to our sisterhood. The active chapter has virtually recruited many new sisters, most of whom have not set foot inside our beautiful home. We are hopeful that by the Fall 2021 semester we will have occupancy close to our capacity. If you missed this opportunity to support the Mu Chapter of Chi Omega House Corporation but would still like to make a donation, please send a check payable to: Chi Omega Association Mu Chapter of Chi Omega c/o Casie Kolbeck 2421 Piedmont Avenue Berkeley, CA 94704 Mu Chapter will be celebrating 120 years on the Cal campus in 2022, with 95 years of ownership of our home at 2421 Piedmont Avenue.
