OUR VISION FOR CHI
T
hrough careful study, assessment, and planning, the housing corporation is
pursuing a plan to build a new chapter house. The three options listed below are
all under consideration and address the long-term viability of the Tri Sigma experience
at Pitt State. We have enlisted the assistance of Krittenbrink Architecture for guidance
moving forward. They have extensive work experience in the Greek housing space.
We have also hired Pro X Realty to be our buyer's representative and help us find the
perfect property.
ESTIMATED COST: $1.5 MILLION
OPTION #1
Purchase and renovate or rebuild the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity house.
OPTION #2
Purchase an adjacent property to the Sigma House to tear down and rebuild.
OPTION #3
Purchase existing property within a three-block radius of campus to tear down
and build new.
SPECIFICALLY, WE PLAN TO:
• Build an inviting and aesthetically pleasing traditional Greek sorority house
• Provide beds to accommodate 25 live-in members
• Provide parking for a minimum of 25 members
• Expand outdoor spaces at both the front and rear of the house
• Create large and flexible community spaces for members and guests
• Create study room spaces with built-in shelves to display awards and achievements
• Create a large dining room and kitchen to accommodate 25 members and 80-100
meals per week
• Create a multifunctional chapter room that will seat 100 members for chapter
meetings
• Enhance technology throughout the facility by adding charging stations, smart
TVs, Wi-Fi signal boosters, and entry scanners at exterior doors
