BY GEORGE DICKIE What was the worst case of disrepair you encountered for "Rehab Addict Rescue"? Honestly, the scariest stuff for me was to see people living with hazardous situations. One couple was running much of their house off of extension cords and a few outlets, which could have easily burned the entire house down. Another couple was living in a house with lead paint exposed in every room with young children in the house. They were focused on a new this and new that when I had to steer the ship back to safety first. We had some major projects. Not a chance that I was "rescuing" someone that just didn't like their countertops. I like to go big, all the time. What has been the most satisfying aspect of doing this series? The laughs with my crew. We've worked a long time together, been through a lot of life things and getting them back together was amazing. Working with homeowners is challenging – they expect lights, camera, action and we just are not even close to being glossy and pretentious. It was cool to see (the homeowners) actually get into it. This took a few days for some as they didn't expect to get dirty or clean or be working 16 hours straight, but if my crew and I were doing it so were the homeowners.
