Cowboy Desert Church update Don't dump at the wood chipper Quartzsite Police Dept issued a public notice last week warning the public about abusing the wood chipper. The woodchipper located behind the Waste/Water Treatment Plant should only be used for dumping tree trimmings and other discard- ed vegetation. Illegal dumping of trash, building/construction ma- terial, concrete, and other debris are prohibited. BLM [Bureau of Land Management] has graciously allowed us to utilize this land to dispose of discarded vegetation. Continuous dumping of prohibited materials will result in the closure of the woodchipper. Please take all other debris and trash to the local or county landfi ll for proper dispos- al. Illegal dumping could result in a fi ne of $500 dollars and/or 30 days in jail. If you have any questions contact QPD at 928-927-6444. County Landfill Transfer Station now on Winter Hours The Quartzsite Transfer Station is now on their WINTER hours. They are open Sunday thru Wednes- day, 7:30am to 2:30pm. The transfer station is locat- ed north of Town, just off Hwy. 95, near the Sewer Treatment Plant. ~*~*~*~*~*~ Happiness I asked the professors who teach the meaning of life to tell me what is happiness.
