BY GEORGE DICKIE What do you have planned for Season 19 of "Hell's Kitchen"? Based on the success of the show and the time we had in Las Vegas, we're going to do a Gordon/Gino/Fred "Hell's Kitchen" special where Gino (D'Acampo, an Italian chef) runs the red kitchen, I'm going to run the blue kitchen and Fred (Sirieix, a French maitre d') is going to be running the dining room. How cool is that? So you're in Las Vegas this season. Can you talk about that? That was extraordinary, super-talented individuals and also just putting them in the midst of that highly competitive world. It's grown up some incredible talent. What makes Las Vegas the culinary destination it has become? ... What makes it super special is the way it's evolving. You know, everyone thought it was just this sort of party town and the gambling. But honestly, when you see the plethora of talent there and the amount of chefs that are vying trying to get into Vegas, it is one of the most competitive and difficult cities to crack. So if (the food) is not on point, (diners) will let you know instantly and it's now one of the most sought after places to be. So it makes you tough, it makes you resilient and it really does keep you on that knife edge. That's how good it is and long may that continue.
