BY MICHELLE WILSON If you're in the market for buying a house anytime soon, one of the most important things to consider is your neighbors. If you find a blond-haired little boy named Dennis, it's probably a good idea to keep looking, no matter how fabulous the house might be. The 1959-1963 series "Dennis the Menace," currently streaming on Amazon, follows the misadventures of the titled young lad (Jay North) who is always getting into some kind of mischief and giving headaches to his poor neighbor, Mr. George Wilson (Joseph Kearns). Dennis considers "Good Ol' Mr. Wilson" to be his best friend but the retired salesman and avid stamp collector would much rather Dennis go elsewhere so he can have some peace and quiet. Mrs. Wilson (Sylvia Field) on the other hand, loves Dennis in a grandmotherly way, and often tries to make peace between her husband and the boy next door. Gale Gordon later moves into the neighborhood, as George Wilson's brother John, following the sudden death of Kearns after shooting the show's 100th episode. The series, which was based on the original comic strip created by Hank Ketcham, ultimately ran for four seasons on CBS and later inspired a 1993 film starring Walter Matthau. No nerve medication required to stream 'Dennis the Menace' "Movie: How to Fake a War" An arrogant rock star (Jay Pharoah, "Saturday Night Live") tries to manufacture conflict between warring factions when an unexpected cease fire threatens his heavily hyped Piece of Peace global charity concert in this 2020 British comedy from first-time feature filmmaker Rudolph Herzog. Katherine Parkinson, Lily Newmark, Daryl McCormack and Ali Cook also star. "Clifford the Big Red Dog" Clifford, Emily Elizabeth and their friends return for more adventures in the new season, including a day at the Birdwell Fun Fair, building the coolest clubhouse ever, throwing a welcome party for a new islander and turning the sounds of a thunderstorm into a song. No matter the situation, they always know they can always depend on one another in good times and bad. (ORIGINAL) "The Minimalists: Less Is Now" The maxim "Less is more" that was popularized by 20th century architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe is at the heart of this new documentary, in which longtime friends Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus discuss how people's lives can be better with less. (ORIGINAL) "Six Degrees With Mike Rowe" (Jan. 4, Discovery+) The Discovery+ streaming service launches with several series, among them this offering that is a play on the "six degrees of Kevin Bacon" game, except here it focuses on history as Rowe travels through the past, looking at some of the biggest moments of our time and showing how it's all connected.
