Business owners should train their employees to examine all bills they receive, $10 and higher. If they be- lieve they are being given counterfeit money they should call the police. The Secret Service offers a down- loadable PDF called Know Your Money that points out key features to look at to determine if a bill is real or fake: https://www.secretservice. gov/data/KnowYourMoney.pdf If you believe you have received counterfeit money, the U.S. Trea- sury advises you to do the following: Do not put yourself in danger. Do not return the bill to the passer. Observe the passer's description – and their companions' descrip- tions – and write down their vehicle license plate numbers if you can. Contact your local police depart- ment or call your local Secret Ser- vice offi ce. Place it inside a protective cover, a plastic bag, or envelope to protect it. Remember, if you are passed a counterfeit bill, you own it. So when accepting cash, it pays to be knowledgeable about the crime of counterfeiting. Because the supply of COVID-19 vaccine in the United States is ex- pected to be limited at fi rst, CDC recommends that initial supplies of COVID-19 vaccine be allocated to healthcare personnel and long-term care facility residents. CDC made this recommendation on December 3, 2020, and based it on recommen- dations from the Advisory Com- mittee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), an independent panel of medical and public health experts. The recommendations were made with these goals in mind: Decrease death and serious dis- ease as much as possible. Preserve functioning of society. Reduce the extra burden COVID- 19 is having on people already fac- ing disparities. The U.S. vaccine safety system ensures that all vaccines are as safe as possible. On December 11, 2020, the U.S. Food and Drug Adminis- tration issued an Emergency Use Authorization for use of the Pfi zer- BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in peo- ple aged 16 years and older for the prevention of COVID-19. Because the supply of COVID-19 vaccine in the United States will be limited at fi rst, CDC recommends that initial supplies of COVID-19 vaccine be al- located to healthcare personnel and long-term care facility residents. The recommendations were made What to know about the vaccine program with the following goals in mind: Decrease death and serious disease as much as possible; Preserve func- tioning of society; and Reduce the extra burden COVID-19 is having on people already facing disparities. You need 2 doses of the currently available COVID-19 vaccine. A sec- ond shot 3 weeks after your fi rst shot is needed to get the most protection the vaccine has to offer. Because the current supply of COVID-19 vaccine in the United States is limited, CDC recommends that initial supplies of COVID-19 vaccine be offered to healthcare personnel and long-term care facility residents. The goal is for everyone to be able to easily get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as large enough quantities are available. Once vaccine is widely available, the plan is to have several thousand vaccination providers of- fering COVID-19 vaccines in doc- tors' offi ces, retail pharmacies, hos- pitals, and federally qualifi ed health centers. Vaccine doses purchased with U.S. taxpayer dollars will be given to the American people at no cost. www.cdc.gov/coronavi- rus/2019-ncov/vaccines
