Pack your hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol, and consider these tips. General travel safety tips: Hotels – Most hotels offer contactless check-ins and rigorous cleaning. Still, bring your own supplies to wipe down high-touch surfaces: doorknobs, remote controls, light switches, toilets, sink handles, etc. Minimize time in lobbies and forego turndown service and room cleaning to limit exposure. Always check cancellation and refund policies for anything you book. Planes – Health authorities, including the CDC, say that risk of infection on planes is low due to High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters. But in such close quarters, try to get a window seat (away from the aisle) and mask up in the airport and on the flight. Food – Take as much of your own food and drinks as possible. Or, opt for outdoor dining, drive-through, or curbside pickup instead of entering buildings. Check in advance to see which area restaurants are open. Activities – Especially in the early days of re-approved travel, continue evaluating the need to attend events that the CDC has labeled high-risk, including cruises, weddings, funerals, sporting events, and concerts. Also, research the sites that interest you to make sure they are open. Use your Redstone Visa Signature® credit card and get complimentary, 24-hour assistance with booking travel and dinner reservations. You can also get Travel Emergency Assistance.
