PSI SOONERS GAMMA PHI BETA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA • FALL 2020 W hether we graduated two years ago or 20, a lot has changed since we became alumnae. We've launched careers, moved, gotten married, started families—the list of news is endless. To keep us better connected and maintain our Gamma Phi Beta bonds, the House Corporation is launching a new alumnae relations program. Introducing the Psi Sooners Newsletter! Since we know your busy schedule may not accommodate a trip to Norman even when it's safe to travel again, we're bringing OU to you! You'll receive two editions of the Psi Sooners newsletter each year. Inside this inaugural edition you'll find updates on the active chapter, an interview with an alumna, information on alumnae events, and House Corporation news. We're thrilled to begin the process of reconnecting GFB sisters from near and far. Is Your Contact Information Updated? Beyond our biannual newsletter, we're also focused on updating our alumnae contact records. You might recall receiving a form in May that asked you to confirm your contact information and to share what's new with you. You can read the first collection of Gamma Phi Beta updates in the alumnae news section starting on page 3. Don't remember receiving that form? Please let us know so we can keep our records current! Email our communications coordinator at ssmoot@ penningtonco.com with your updates. Forever Gamma Phi Beta No matter how many years have passed, we're all members of GFB for life. Alumnae support is essential in maintaining our sisterhood, and we welcome support and volunteers at every level. By joining the House Corporation Board, writing a recruitment recommendation, or simply sending article ideas for the newsletter, you can play an important part in Psi's future. We look forward to bringing you the latest news from 1105 College Ave. In IIKE, Kristin Brickmin Hulin '91 House Corporation President, Psi Chapter • jbkhulin@yahoo.com A s a freshman looking into sororities, Pattye Lamb Moore '77 was a total novice; nobody in her family had been in Greek life previously. "For me, there was no contest." She learned through Psi Chapter to prioritize her time, work and collaborate in teams, and appreciate different personalities. Fast-forward to 2020, and Pattye was surprised and honored to receive the Carnation Award at the Gamma Phi Beta convention! "I wish I could have received it in person, but these are unprecedented times." n LIFE SINCE COLLEGE Pattye's first job out of college was with e Williams Companies in Tulsa, who were huge supporters of the local community and encouraged employee engagement.
