As the story opens, however, Dr. Dolittle has retreated from human society following the death of his beloved wife. An- tonio Banderas, Jim Broad- bent and Michael Sheen are among the human co-stars. 9 p.m. on HIST History's Greatest Mysteries Emmy winner Laurence Fish- burne is host and narrator of this new docuseries, which explores historically com- pelling topics and mysteries that surround each of them. The opener, "The Final Hunt for D.B. Cooper," revisits the only unsolved case of air piracy in U.S. history. In 1971, an unidentified man hi- jacked a Boeing 727 airliner, extorted $200,000 in ransom, then parachuted to a fate that remains unknown. Now, Eric Ulis, an expert in this case, believes he has identified where Cooper (a pseudonym) landed after his famous leap. 9 p.m. on SHOW Movie: The Children Act Ian McEwan adapted his own 2014 novel for Richard Eyre's moving 2017 drama, which stars Emma Thompson as family court judge Fiona Maye, who faces a thorny moral dilemma when she hears the case of a leuke- mia-stricken teenager (Fionn Whitehead). Adam Henry, age 17, needs a transfusion, but he and his family are Jehovah's Witnesses and reject such treatment.
